EBN can report that, despite what the Imperial government claims, the first attempt to destroy the potential planet killer meteor failed. Information that EBN gathered indicates that the fleet dispatched met a vast number of hostile robot forces which were in hiding behind the giant rock. The Imperial fleet, taken by surprise, was summarily destroyed.
One source inside the Imperial Office state that there is a crisis meeting in progress as to how to respond. Talks about an evacuation is on the table, while others want to risk Exodus by launching the entire fighter fleet, leaving Exodus vulnerable for attacks.
On another matter, the native Calypso Argonaut population seems overly passive at the moment, like in waiting..."
