Is mining returning to normal?

I have lost a large amount of ped mining during the last two vus.
I went out today with about 50 ped mines/probes - i have just over 20 peds' worth of m/p left and tt value of materials found so far is +20.

While the numbers in themselves are not large, the percentages are.
Is mining returning back to normal?
What's your story?

I grumble everyday about mining and up until a few days ago had really considered giving it up all together. From just before the new VU and up to last week it was almost hopless to try and mine. Loss was well over 50%. But in the past week it has done a complete turnaround. I am showing a profit for the first time in 2 months. Three globals in two days. More modest, ample and greats. Been so long since I saw those words I almost forgot what they meant LOL.

I am not saying it will last but I certaily hope so. Even to just break even or lose of 20% like in hunting is acceptable.
