using URL's in shoutbox

For the safety and comfort of all shoutbox users, can I please ask that if you are going to post a URL into the shoutbox, that you make sure the link text is not the whole URL, but something else shorter.

This is because long strings in shouts force the shoutbox to have scrollbars, and change the text wrapping making it more difficult to use.

Unfortunately I don't have much control over the shoutbox, and will be looking to replace it with something more configurable in the future.

Yes I tried the [ c o d e ] tag and it doesn't work. The BB codes are still parsing. Probably the [ n o p a r s e ] doesn't work because the system sees a bad word and marks it with stars as it happened to your post.
