View Full Version : Neurotic about stats?

So, I admit I have a problem. I'm neurotic about keeping figures and statistics, and this has carried over in to EU. In an attempt to convince myself I'm not alone I thought I'd post here to see if anyone else does the same.

So, when I go for a hunting or mining run I take a fixed amount of ammo and ME with me, all non-L stuff is fully repaired, and values of L stuff are noted down (there should be an ingame notepad!).

When I return from a hunt I open up my spreadsheet and note down all the repair costs, ammo costs, loots, decay, etc. Every single PEC lost of gained during the trip is accounted for - and I check the totals match up to reality too.

Then I also have another table for recording my overall transactions. So that would include profit/loss from a hunt, buying, selling, paying rent, deposits. Everything really.

And from that I can produce a graph showing the value of my items, my PEDs, and my overall "profit" (it's negative, sadly).

:tumbleweed:

So yup, I'm definately obsessed and crazy.

Can you post your spreadsheets and graphs? I am not neaurotic about it yet, but I soon may be. I would like to see how everything stacks up for me. :)

Yep, you're neurotic, but then so am I, in a different way.

Download Project Entropia Assistant, it has in-game notepad, VERY handy

I'm almost as bad, or as good ;). I don't log every purchase that I make but I do log daily PED expenses and the value of loot that I gain and then do a weekly/monthly/quarterly total expenses and total gains figures.

As I normally limit my hunts to the duration of a limited weapon and armour and other weapons are fully charged before leaving all I do is add the repair costs to the price of the limited weapon and put all the loot into a TT to calculate what I got (don't sell it all), included in the loot is the now dead limited weapon so all I need do is find the difference, normally it's negative :)

Totally not... I never really watch anything in terms of how much I use in any given session, or really how much I return.
I like to get a vague sense of roughly what I spent versus what I got back, but beyond that I don't bother.
I've never really been one to worry about skills gains either.

These were both reasons for my 'mission to skill up for a BLP sniper' thread cos I thought I'd watch for once how skills built up - thinking about it now I should have noted how much I was spending on ammo too ;)

Soo good on ya for watching the numbers, I bet your spreadsheets are quite interesting for watching the ebb and flow of fortune.

flow of fortune? the line started at zero and has headed in to the negative ever since ;-)
