Return of the Umbranoids

Yesterday evening Jam asked me where to find Umbranoids. I told him that they vanished since last VU. But he said he saw some globals on it... and he gave me some coords he heard from others. 231,173. after some time of thinking it rang a bell inside my poor brain, the black orb W of Mineopolis.
I TPed there and found lot's of red and green dots. And a blood red sky which makes me remember a part of a U2 song, even it was not new years day.

I had no globals with the umbras but I got lot's of hairspray.
My personal opinion is they only returned because a lack of hairspray at Calypso. Or it has to do something with the black orb.

I have to say I did enjoy my time being whipped by the Umbranoids, like seeing old friends again only all grown up.

I do find myself wondering why when locked onto an Umbra. and firing the gun is pointing at the groin? Seems an odd thing to do to me, certainly in first person that is where my eyes were fixed while stabbing them in spite of trying to look elsewhere.

Are we trying to kill or neuter them?

Having received in my life a few blows to that area (try to read that the way it was meant) I find I feel rather sorry for the poor creatures.

I was also wondering about that when I saw people global on them.
Might also have a go at them someday, just for old times sake.

I had a few goes with them this weekend. diddnt really kill much else other then to and from the camp. Lost money a lot. I also noticed that the aim seems to be on the shins. You can target and dhoot from far off unless your above them or you will mostly miss. Also as they are runningto you its hard to hit their shins. Ive had to use manual aim to pick them off from afar. (Finally a use for the scope!!) It was fun cause there was no selecting i could just turn and shoot FPS style.

This rings a bell, I took part in an umbro hunt W of minopolis as well earlier in the week, and saw the black orb. I was mishitting alot as well if I aimed for the head or chest.
