This Vendetta begins at 00:00 MA on Monday 12-05-08.
This Vendetta concludes at 24:00 MA on Sunday 25-05-08.

The EU-Chronicle Guild of Assassins consisting of:-

Sandra Bunny Doright
Jelly Burgerman Belly
Roger Stratos Fa
Amstek Kets Ketsma

Is under attack by one or more unknown assassins. Intelligence gathering has occured and it is suspected that the unknown assassin(s) is/are contained within this following list of Targets:-

Harry Cantbe Serious
Sally Tigeress Serious
Anna Ufo Avaimenpera
James Dont GiveUp
Una Griph Alconbury
Any member of the Guardian Tigers (check soc. terminal for details).

This list is not conclusive, should more be learnt it will be posted here.

The EU-Chronicle assassins are required to work as a team in order to eliminate the targets, each target has a value of 10PED which will be paid to the assassin who eliminates the target, assuming the assassin survives the vendetta, if not the money will be transferred to the unknown assassin who eliminates him or her. Assassins should post there kills to this thread.

The unknown assassin(s) will be attempting to eliminate the EU-Chronicle assassins. Unknown assassins should send their kills to me via e-mail, available in my vCard. The time of your kills will be the e-mail time, I will then edit the image and post to this thread to preserve your identity. Each EU-Chronicle assassin has a value of 10PED which will be paid to the unknown assassin who eliminates the EU-Chronicle assassin, assuming the unknown assassin survives the vendetta, if not the money will be transferred to the EU-Chronicle assassin who eliminates him or her.

Looking for participants for this event, once again a maximum of 100PED is on offer, thinking of starting this on Monday the 12th of May and running it for two weeks.

If you would like to participate please post to this thread, please include your society (we may be able to run one of the group vendettas) and if you would like to be an assassin or a target.

Vendetta type to be decided (depends on the number of participants, the more we have the better).

It is a very cheap event to take part in all that is required is a working scanner or a melee weapon.

I have been trying to figure out a fair way to allow guns and guns + scopes but have found it difficult due to the range thing, could be just me over complicating things again :). If you have any suggestions let me know.

This seems reasonable to me. I was originally looking at cross hairs on the head as per the traditional movie assassinations but found I had to be rather close to the target :). I will try it and see how tricky it is, don't want to make it too easy.

An excellent kill Kets, taking out a victim whilst they undergo a gynaecological examination, obviously they would be somewhat distracted :)

Ten out of then for effort,

I wasn't shooting at her feet. I never would have hit the bystand...stand is hardly the right word here. :D

Hmm... look what I found:

2.3.2 The killing of innocent bystanders is expressly forbidden by the Rules of Canley. To this end there must be no other avatars or non player avatars that could get in the way of the kill (see 2.2.6), I.E. between assassin and assassinated, even a partial blockage is a fail. The killing of innocent bystanders will result in disqualification or possibly an additional vendetta.

I do think there is good reason to post an additional vendetta with Kets as the target, if he had killed the examiner as opposed to the examine I would probably have let him get away with it but I thought I would wait until after this current vendetta lurches to an end. The prime rule of Canley has been broken so it is only right he pays the price :).

Well event 3 has closed and without a single legitimate kill. I suspect this was largely due to bad timing with people being on holiday, others being busy and the new VU. Of course some of the shine has worn off as well and there were technical issues with the unknown assassin concept.

Interestingly the new VU has made the scanner the best weapon for the job, now we have the ability to change our display names it is the only weapon that will guarantee the display of the full avatar name and thus comply with the rules. The melee weapon can still be used when the full name has been chosen for display, also a scoped rifle will be use-able soon, thanks to a good suggestion from Shim, thank you Shim, I will update the rules soon.

It seems there is only decision left to make, with Kets in violation of the rules should we post a further vendetta? Personally I think we should but if anyone has anything to say about it here is the place to do it.

Chela can make the final call on that one, but I think you will find Canley is a surprisingly unforgiving art, and you are probably still exempt from any profit due to your previous indiscretion.

In my opinion I would say that Kets can claim the payment for the assassination of Anna as long as he does this before he is assassinated. However, as I have not posted the contract on Anna it really is not my place to decide. Back to you Burgerman :)

Thnx a lot mates....it was a very hard work....i run...i scanned....not corectly first...same with second....login again...damn no anna, where it is anna...entered...and anna was at auctioneer ( to put her skill implant,i think :P). Finally ive got her face to face...scann again, press U and sreen shot...huh...made it :) it was hard but funny!!!
