Yesterday MA gave a Demo of a feature, Live Feeds!
This is what Marco posted on EF
A participant may start a streaming session like his/her avatar had a camera "in the eyes" for anyone with a web client to show in near-real time. This will, I hope, bring a lot of cool coverage of events, landgrabs, special happenings, etc to anyone who gets the URL from the sender.
It is a great way to be aware and "present" even if your avatar isn't located at a specific location. Participants with multiple monitors can use it during battles and getting instant Recon intelligence, for instance. A shop owner may use it to monitor the customers entering his/her store, etc.
I also imagine it would be out of the question that we in the future could stream "live feed" to in-world TV-sets ready for receiving the stream. The possibilities will be endless. =)
